Redistricting

Reports

I am in the reformatting my notes on the recent round of redistricting for better presentation.  More information will be appearing in the coming days.  I apologize for any inconvenience.  Please check back soon!   Recommendations for a redistricting commission to enhance district competitiveness

2001-2002 Redistricting in the 50 States

Redistricting synopses.  A synopsis of the 2001-2002 round of redistricting for each state will be available soon.  Alabama, Alaska, and Arkansas are now available, but still under construction.  I have included hyperlinks to news stories within the narrative of the redistricting synopses.  Many links are now defunct or require paid subscriptions for viewing.  Some may be available through services such as Lexis-Nexis. I make no guarantee of the continuing availability of any of the links on these pages.

Redistricting websites.  Many states still have active redistricting websites, some more than one.  To qualify as a "redistricting" web site, a web site must provide more information than maps, such as redistricting rules, hearing dates, data, reports, etc.  I have provided the URL of all redistricting sites, including inactive ones indicated by "*" (websites change so I make no guarantee of the availability of these web sites).  To view defunct websites, I recommend the web archive: http://www.archive.org/, which provides viewing of websites that do not block automated web crawlers known as robots.  The archive may also be useful to view older versions of websites, which may contain information no longer available on a current version.
